Now, anyone with children and who is even a serious hobby photographer knows that (very early on) there is a breaking point after which your children NEVER ask you to grab your camera ... for any reason ... ever.
I've heard it called PCS - photographer's children syndrome.
I grabbed the camera.
She was holding him so delicately~ my sweet little-critter lovin' girl ...
Ahh. He's a beauty! My Ladybug wanted to keep him of course. My daughter's affinity for all things insect is long and
well-documented ...
... but, as the sun quickly slipped below the tree line, he had other plans ...
Maybe another time.
... be well.

Love the photos.
Sweet!

(((...man oh man...I'm on Lisa's tail all over cyber space today :o) chuckles out loud)))
I like all of the shots...but I particularly like the one of the grasshopper by itself on the concrete. The vivid green against the grey of the concrete is stunning. Your eye is drawn right in to the little fella.
Great sequencing.
Thanks for sharing

I love your PCS definition.... we totally have an outbreak of that around here. But I also find the more my camera is around, the more relaxed they become and I get natural expressions instead of contrived strange "camera" faces.
And that grasshopper in her sweet hands, is adorable!
how simplu adorable your child and her interests are
love the picture
I love sweet stories like this. The first image where she is lovingly cradling her little critter is my fave. Great job capturing the shots of the little guy/girl.
Such sweet photos and a sweet story! Reminds me of when I was a kid, we used to love catching bugs :-)
What a great job she did with that little critter! My little guy has a tendency to cost them a leg or two... but at least yours seemed to fare better than our grasshopper did today (yes, the DOG ate him :(
Great SOOC shots - really amazing colors and framing!
Cool shots indeed. I struggle to get even my DSLR to focus on the mobile macro stuff. He's quite a handsome fellow isn't he?
so cool...how on earth did you get those pics of the grasshopper on the ground?!?!!
i'm impressed :)
(your daughter sounds so much like my son!! he has PCS as well!!!)
She's so careful with the creature! How sweet. I love grasshoppers.
