Fix-It friday #44

Another super fun fix-it this week, this time from I Heart Faces contributor Keli Hoskins. This sweet picture of her daughter Emma could be a commercial fashion shot. Just look at that pose!

(A big congratulations to Keli and her family on the new addition they are expecting.)

For my fix, I wanted to create more light and focus on Emma as she works it for her mama's camera ...

And, just in case you are interested, I have remembered to chronicle my steps in the fix ...
(Used Photoshop Elements 7 this week.)

crop
unsharp mask
lightened shadows using "Adjust Color Curves"
increased midtones using "Adjust Color Curves"
reduced the blue cast in levels
increased the saturation a bit
increased the brightness quite a bit
reduced the contrast
ran Coffeshop's "Coffee with Cream" action
reduced the gradient map layer to 25%
used a soft black brush on the darken layer to bring back the background depth
readjusted the saturation on the magenta and blue channels

Thanks, Keli, for letting us play with your photo this week.
Have a great weekend everyone!
